Team Leader, Nottingham
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: Monday 29th July 2013. Please do not apply for this post if you are unable to start on this date.
Salary: £23,750 plus employer’s pension contribution at 5% on satisfactory completion of probationary period. The salary will rise on satisfactory completion of three months of service and a further increase on satisfactory completion of six months of service. For Team Leaders promoted to Centre Leaders the salary will rise to £24,750. The next annual pay review will take place in July.

What can you expect?
Team Leaders have responsibility for leading the team of Education Workers and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. With your team you will plan and deliver the IntoUniversity programme of Academic Support, Mentoring and FOCUS (specially-devised study weeks and days) to children and young people aged 7-18.
Salaries are competitive, and in addition to all UK bank holidays we offer 25 days’ annual leave (plus a discretionary 3 days at Christmas), a generous pension scheme, a loan towards travelcard costs (subject to completion of probationary period) and a comprehensive training programme for which we are seeking accreditation.
Who are we looking for?
You will have a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent, be ambitious to progress and succeed within our charity, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have passion for the mission of IntoUniversity. You will also have a minimum of two years’ full-time experience working with children and young people which may be a combination of paid and voluntary work; for example, PGCE and one-year of teaching experience or two years’ full-time youth work.
Please note, post holders are required to manage a range of responsibilities and deal with the many different challenges of running a high-performing IntoUniversity centre. Post holders will therefore receive structured support from their Cluster Manager to support them in this leadership role. We expect Team Leaders to progress to Centre Leaders after 12 months’ satisfactory performance in role and will need a commitment to the role for a minimum of two years.
