The IntoUniversity Lambeth centre opened in October 2007, marking the beginning of the charity’s expansion across London. The service has been popular with local children and young people since the centre first opened its doors.
In the last academic year over 127 children and young people attended Academic Support sessions, whilst more than 1000 others were helped through FOCUS activities and workshops this year. 62 students took part in Buddy Days and 31 mentoring pairs were matched.
Centre Update
IU Lambeth recently ran an exciting Holiday FOCUS week called 'I create, I curate' where students explored careers in the arts, created their own art pieces and organised their very own exhibition in Centenary Hall. The centre ran lower secondary FOCUS workshops with Lilian Baylis and Archbishop Tenison schools, and ran a Day of University Life workshop with Walworth Academy.
