On the 21st of September 2007 IntoUniversity held ‘The Chance of a Lifetime Auction’. Over 130 guests arrived to enjoy an evening of champagne, good food and fantastic shopping opportunities. With auction lots as diverse as a skiing holiday in Canada to meeting Orlando Bloom, the auction provided guests with the perfect opportunity to try something new while donating money to IntoUniversity’s worth-while cause.
The event proved a huge success thanks to the hard work of the many volunteers and the generosity of IntoUniversity’s supporters. After the last bid had been placed and the auctioneers gavel had come down the total funds raised stood at around £100,000. This incredible sum will allow IntoUniversity to have a real impact on helping to improve the long-term chances of children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
