IntoUniversity Lambeth opened in October 2007 and has already far exceeded its targets in helping young people in the local area. Over 70 children and young people regularly attend academic support sessions while more than 2000 others have been helped through FOCUS activities, assemblies and workshops. Feedback from students has been very positive with one student commenting "IntoUniversity is one of the best places I have ever been!" Feedback has also been positive from teachers, "A fantastic week. The children have learnt so much academically, emotionally and socially."
IntoUniversity Lambeth recently launched a pilot strand with a local secondary school; ‘Careers in FOCUS’. ‘Careers in FOCUS’ runs in collaboration with organisations and provides interactive workshops on careers varying from Landscape Architecture to becoming a Barrister.
