Compared to how I have seen some of the students within school, I saw students recognising some of their negative behaviours and attempting to take on aspects of what they have learnt.

Who we are

Trustees

Christopher Purvis, CBE is the Chair of Trustees. He retired from full-time employment in 1997 to concentrate on activities in the not-for-profit sector. He has a high profile involvement in a number of national charities and grant-awarding trusts.

Patrick Derham has been Head Master of Rugby School since 2001 and has been instrumental in developing the Arnold Foundation Scholarship programme. Prior to Rugby, he taught at Radley College and was Headmaster of Solihull School (1996-2001).

Clare Richards is Director of St Clement and St James Community Development Project and a Trustee of IntoUniversity. Clare has been at the centre of developing the IU approach to out-of-hours learning. Clare was a teacher before working in the voluntary sector.

Dr Tessa Stone is Director of the Sutton Trust. Formerly, she lectured in modern British history, acted as Director of Studies in history and was full-time Admissions Tutor at Newnham College, Cambridge.

Maxine Lyseight is Commmunications Executive at Pearson plc, developing CSR comms strategy across the global company. She was previously Parliamentary Assistant to David Lammy, MP for Tottenham, with a research focus particularly on the inner city, education and youth. Before Westminster, Maxine ran a student-led, not-for-profit initiative encouraging young people from inner city areas to aspire towards a university education.

James Lambert is a Director of Lisburne Holdings Ltd a company which invests in commercial property. He is also a Director of Value Retail plc. Value Retail plc develops and operates factory outlet centres including Bicester Village in Oxfordshire and is one of IntoUniversity's corporate partners.

Sophie Lewisohn is a Trustee of IntoUniversity and has been involved in the creation and development of IU. Sophie brings her considerable experience in finance and economics to the governance of the organisation.
